Alocasia Update!

For the next two weeks the Bays Family is working at Holden Village which has no internet connection. Since my Hyperfoci of the week are written as they are happing, this week you get a happy plant update instead.

As you can see from the pictures, my alocasia collection is thriving. Grandmasquatch is plant sitting so to make things easier, the whole crew has been assembled in one room. I love the effect!

The trick has been more light than recommended and watering when the soil was still slightly damp. The striking fellow in the front with the light green veining is the light exception; he prefers indirect light. He has been chilling on the dining room table with a Christmas cactus buddy of his since his favorite spot on Porter’s desk is too close to the air conditioner.

Most of these planty-friends are going to relocate to our master bathroom when the flooring is finished. They are a humidity loving group and I hope this leads to many happy updates in the future!
